Chapter I

The Consolidated View

Every fund, stock, deposit and policy the family holds, across every member and every institution, reconciled into one table you can trust.

I.1

Statements in, with consent

Most of what a family owns is already described in documents they receive: the consolidated account statement from CAMS and KFintech, the depository statement from NSDL or CDSL, holding statements from their broker, deposit advices from banks and policy schedules from insurers.

Brhannivesh reads these documents directly. Clients can forward them to a dedicated address for your practice, or you can upload a batch at quarter end. Before any statement is parsed, Brhannivesh checks that the client's consent is on record for that type of data.

I.2

Grouped by family, not by folio

A single family can hold dozens of folios across many fund houses, often under different members and sometimes with minor variations in name. Brhannivesh groups holdings by PAN, then into the family you define: spouses, children, parents and a Hindu undivided family can sit together in one view while remaining separate in the detail.

Joint holdings are recognised once, against the first holder, and shown with their joint holders so values are never double counted.

I.3

Every asset type in one table

Mutual funds are valued at the latest published NAV. Listed stocks and bonds use the closing price on the valuation date. Fixed deposits accrue interest at the booked rate, and insurance policies carry the fund value or surrender value declared by the insurer.

Each holding is classified by asset class, so the family's allocation reflects what the money is actually invested in. A balanced advantage fund, for example, is split by its disclosed equity and debt exposure rather than counted as equity alone.

Notes

  1. 1Statement formats are maintained as institutions change them. A statement that cannot be read is flagged for review rather than partially imported.
